High Pressure Steam Washdown Station

Model WD2010H – High Pressure Steam Washdown Station

60–200 PSIG Steam Pressure

High Pressure Steam Washdown Station

Model WD2010H is a high pressure steam washdown station designed for high-pressure steam environments requiring maximum cleaning power and temperature output. Steam and cold water are carefully and thoroughly mixed to provide "instant" hot water on demand. Using the proportional flow water and steam control valves, the operator can adjust the washdown station to deliver the desired hot water temperature as indicated on the dial thermometer located in the mixed water discharge. Widely used in dairy, pharmaceutical, food processing, chemical and industrial plants where high-pressure steam is available.

Safety First — NO WATER, NO STEAM

When handling live steam, SAFETY COMES FIRST! Our Steam/Water Washdown Stations employ a unique valve and diaphragm technology. Steam is automatically blocked from discharging using a specially engineered diaphragm device. The diaphragm uses the steam supply pressure to positively close the steam inlet valve to the mixing chamber — no reliance on temperature sensors or electrical devices. The diaphragm device will permit the steam inlet valve to open only after sufficient cold water flow is established. If at any time the cold water is restricted, the steam is automatically shut off.

How Steam Washdown Works

01

Cold Water Enters

Cold water supply connects to the station inlet. A flow-sensing valve monitors water pressure continuously.

02

Steam Mixes In

Steam from your boiler or supply line is injected through a proportional mixing valve. The ratio is controlled by the operator's temperature dial.

03

Temperature Regulated

An integrated dial thermometer displays the output temperature. The operator adjusts the mixing valve to reach the desired washdown temperature (up to 190°F).

04

Fail-Safe Activates

If cold water flow is interrupted for any reason, the steam supply automatically shuts off — preventing scalding and protecting equipment.

05

Hot Water Delivered

Controlled hot water flows to the hose connection at the set temperature, ready for washdown, sanitizing, or cleaning.

Installation & Maintenance Tips

Follow these guidelines to maximize service life and ensure safe operation.

Routine:Inspect mixing valve and cold water inlet strainer monthly for debris or scale buildup.
Routine:Verify thermometer accuracy quarterly — compare to a calibrated reference thermometer.
Routine:Check all pipe connections and fittings for leaks at each startup.
Important:Never operate without cold water supply connected — the fail-safe requires water flow to function.
Important:Do not exceed the rated steam pressure for your model (L: 60 PSIG, M: 150 PSIG, H: 200 PSIG).
Service:Winterize annually if the station is in an unheated area — drain all water from the system.
Service:Replace mixing valve seat and disc every 2–3 years or when temperature control becomes inconsistent.
